Emmett died tragically at age seven.  He chewed something and developed an obstruction.  By the time he showed signs of illness, he was critically ill and could not be saved.  He was such a cheerful fellow and wrestled endlessly with a five month old puppy the day before he died.  I am grateful his illness was brief.

He sired some really lovely puppies and through the wonders of technology we hope to have more in the future.. Very reminiscent of his grandfather, Madison, he was all boy, all spaniel, with a beautiful masculine head, good body, rib and bone.  I believe he had the best temperament possible in any dog.  He was a calming force here as he ran happily with any dog, puppy or adult.  What a sense of humor!  He adored puppies even at his veteran age and played gently with even the smallest ones.  

He was just about the dearest dog I've known. 

He was taken much too young.

Like his grandfather, he will be terribly missed.
